HAPPY TANGO won his last start under this apprentice. He remains in Class 5 and should give another good account of himself in this opening contest. The form of SWEET DIAMOND’S penultimate run catches the eye when beaten a nose by Rattan World. A repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money.

13:10 – Race 2 | Class 3 | 1200m

BEAUTY INFINITY won his last start comfortably and he may still be ahead of the handicapper at this stage of his career. NICCONI COUNTY followed up his recent win well with a good second-place finish behind Golden Empire. He is nicely handicapped and can challenge the top selection. CELESTIAL COLOURS is next best.

13:40 – Race 3 | Class 5 | 1650m

Selections: 11/1/2

MIGHTY STAR finished just over a length behind MEDIC ELITE in his penultimate start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables. BEAU GOSSE has placed in his last two starts. He can feature if getting across from the wide draw without using up too much energy.

14:10 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

COPARTNER PRANCE has entered the frame in his last three starts over this distance. Zac Purton has picked up the ride and he can notch up his first career win. VALHALLA finished just over a length behind the winner in his last start. He reunites with Keagan de Melo and the combination merit healthy respect.

14:40 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1200m

SUPER EAGLE has consistent form lines to his credit. He has cracked a neat draw and should be one of the leading contenders. The South African-bred KILINDINI only tired in the closing stages last time and if putting his best foot forward he can feature in this line-up. KING ECCELLENTE is much better than his last start and it will be no surprise to see him finish in the money.

15:10 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1200m

Selections: 1/2/7

RAGING BLIZZARD won his last start easier than the margin suggests. He is a progressive son of Per Incanto and should take a power of beating. SUGAR SUGAR runs well for this apprentice and is going for a hat-trick of wins. CAPTAIN WIN finished half a length behind the second selection last time and could be one to complete the trifecta.

15:45 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1650m

STURDY RUBY has finished a neck behind the winner in his last two starts. It is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride and he will be looking to make amends. ATOMIC BEAUTY has shown a clear affinity for racing at Happy Valley. He is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard and can earn another cheque for his patrons.

16:15 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1800m

M UNICORN followed up his recent win with a gallant effort behind June Planet. All four of his career victories have come on this course and he may be suited to the extra 150m on offer. TURIN MASCOT has decent form lines to his credit and is a massive danger in this line-up. ESCAPE ROUTE cannot be ignored.

16:50 – Race 9 | Class 2 | 1200m

COPARTNER AMBITION finished 1.5 lengths behind BON’S A PEARLA in his last start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. TOMODACHI KOKOROE got up to defeat BUNDLE OF CHARM in his last outing. He is in search of a hat-trick of wins and must be included in all bets.
