KING DRAGON made a form return last time when beaten 1.5 lengths by Nothing Impossible. He looks nicely handicapped and can confirm his recent improvement. NATURAL STORM is another horse that found a form return last time when beaten 3.5 lengths by Champion Pal and can challenge for top honours.

SURE JOYFUL produced an eye-catching debut when beaten just over a length over this C&D. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and is the narrow first selection. HERO STAR wasn’t disgraced last time when beaten just under three lengths by Killer Instinct. He shoulders a handy galloping weight, isn’t short of race fitness and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits.

BIG TWO is the ride of South African jockey L. Hewitson and he was only beaten just under a length by BULLETPROOF last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. CHATER PINS produced a fair last effort when beaten just over two lengths by Happy Jai Jai. He shoulders a light weight and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

JOYFUL GENIUS has found one better in his last two starts and is overdue a win. He is yet to find the winner’s enclosure from nine career attempts and looks set to buck the trend. FARIBAULT finished well in his last outing when beaten just over a length by Mercurial. He shoulders a light weight and can run into the money.
15:45 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

EASON has been narrowly beaten in his last two starts. He was only caught late by the grey Meridian Genius in his last outing and will be looking to make amends. He is a horse that is still on the upgrade and looks one of the better bets on the card. MERCURIAL is taking on stronger which is a slight concern but it is encouraging that Teetan has kept faith in the ride and the pair could make it quick back-to-back wins.

SKY FOREVER was only beaten a nose by The Runner over this C&D last time. He looks nicely handicapped and will have plenty of followers. STAR BRITE wasn’t given the best of rides last time when beaten a couple of lengths by ARMOUR EAGLE. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and could be one to cause an upset.

TIANCHI MONSTER has cracked pole and despite sharing top weight has all the credentials to close proceedings in the lucky last. He prefers racing at Happy Valley and is capable of finding a swift return to form. EVERYONE’S DELIGHT finished 2.5 lengths behind subsequent winner Cheerful Days last time and has strong claims on his penultimate start.
