VALHALLA drew off at the finish to win his last start by a length. He remains in Class 5 and should give another good account of himself. GOODMANSHIP was beaten just under a length in this grade last time and may be the biggest danger to the top selection. H Z TOURBILLON must also be included in all bets.
13:00 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1650m

HAPPY JAI JAI has consistent recent form lines to his credit and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride. HANG’S CHOICE won his last start over this course and distance by half a length. He remains in Class 5 and should make his presence felt once again. DOUBLE SHOW is better than his below-par last effort and it will be no surprise to see him finish in the money.
13:30 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1650m

The 9-year-old FEARLESS FIRE finished just over a length behind TURIN WARRIOR in his last start. He is the top selection courtesy of his neat draw. LOOKING COOL is better than his recent form suggests. Mickael Barzalona has picked up the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
14:10 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1000m
Selections: 4/12/2
GALVANIC produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He should be suited to 1000m and can notch up his first career victory. SUPER FAST DRAGON comes in at the bottom of the weights. He was beaten the narrowest of margins in his last start and could be one to cause an upset in this type of field.
14:40 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1650m

SNOWALOT finished well in his last start when beaten a neck. He isn’t too consistent but is hard to oppose on that last effort. SURE JOYFUL finished a length behind M UNICORN last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
15:10 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m
Selections: 7/2/3
GOLDEN RISE finished a length behind the course and distance specialist WOOD ON FIRE in his first attempt at the races. He is 2kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables. The South African bred KILINDINI was knocking on the door before his moderate latest run from a wide draw. He started the season well and can feature if reproducing his best form.
15:40 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1650m

E LEGEND finished 2.2 lengths behind QUANTAM PATCH in his last start. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. ALL BEAUTY finished 2.8 lengths behind subsequent winner Chill Chibi last time. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and should be involved in the outcome of this contest.
16:10 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1200m

LUCKY ARCHANGEL is in a rich vein of form and all six of his career victories have come over this course and distance. TOMODACHI KOKOROE followed up his recent win well when beaten a neck by Wonder Kit. The Douglas Whyte-trained GAMEPLAYER ELITE is an improving sort. He gets James McDonald in the saddle which is a big plus and must be strongly considered.
16:55 – Race 9 | Class 2 | 1800m

RISING FROM ASHES is going for a hat-trick and looks one of the better bets on the card. He won his penultimate start under Lyle Hewitson and the combination should go close to winning the lucky last. HELENE FEELING likes this course and hasn’t finished far behind the winner in his last two starts. ALL FOR ST PAUL’S is a frontrunner and from gate 3 he may be allowed a soft-lead.
