OCEAN PALACE is the best bet on the card. She produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She was slow into stride, understandably raced green but the manner in which she finished off her race was eye-catching. The daughter of Potala Palace would have gained from the experience and if suited to the polytrack, she should take a power of beating.
Race 6: WHAT A TIGER (2)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: F Habib
WHAT A TIGER has some good recent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his third career victory.
Race 7: CERTAINLY (5)
Jockey: T Mayhew – Trainer: M Odendaal
CERTAINLY’S last two starts have been good. She was doing her best work late when second over 1000m on the turf last time. She finished 0.2 lengths behind STAR CHOICE in her penultimate run and is 5kgs better off at the weights today. That should be enough for the tables to be turned and she can return to winning ways.

TIME TOGETHER is much better than his last start as racing tactics were changed which didn’t suit him. His penultimate run when 1.5 lengths behind JOSHUA HOTSNAKE was encouraging. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that is enough for the tables to be turned. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and if allowed to dictate his own terms in front, he may be hard to peg back.
