EMBARKED produced a fair last outing when beaten three lengths by Joyful Genius. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and is the narrow first selection in this opening contest. JIANGXI STAMINA finished in front of the top selection last time and has strong claims. The only concern is that he comes in at the top of the weights.

BRAVE POWER ran on nicely from off the pace last time and it is encouraging that Bowman has kept faith in the ride. The South African-bred APEX TOP finished just over a length behind the top selection in his last start. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.

BRAVE DREAMS finished strongly last time when beaten a neck by Holy Power. He meets the right field and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. DUBLIN STAR made a form return on this course last time and must also be included in all bets.

MARVEL DRAGON finished runner-up last time when beaten 2.5 lengths by Mighty Stride. He is nicely handicapped and apprentice Chau will take one kilogram off the back. MEGA BONUS was beaten by the progressive Gold Gold Baby last time, is the class package in the race and merits healthy respect.
08:30 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1000m

ORIENTAL SPIRIT and SOARING PENSHANG weren’t separated by much when they met on debut. Both should come on heaps with that run under the belt and can win at the second time of asking. FLYING HIGH has race experience up his sleeve and former South African champion apprentice Ferraris rides.
09:00 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1600m

DRAGON PRIDE showed improvement before a short 35-day break. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and has a say in this wide-open contest. OVER THE MOON finished a couple of lengths in-front of TURQUOISE ALPHA last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
09:35 – Race 7 | Class 2 | 1200m

ORIENTAL SMOKE has consistent form lines to his credit. He was beaten half a length in a hotly-contested finish last time and if repeating that effort should take a power of beating. POWER KOEPP was narrowly beaten by PING HAI GALAXY last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
10:05 – Race 8 | Grade 3 | 1400m

HEALTHY HAPPY led into the straight last time when outrun by Beluga. He placed in a Group 3 in September and looks nicely weighted in this contest. LUCKY SWEYNESSE is loaded with class but he has his work cut out for him at the weights and the race won’t be run to suit him.

BEAUTY ETERNAL followed up his debut victory with another smart effort and is a talent on-the-rise. He was only beaten by a neck by Science Patch last time and will be looking to make amends. SUPER VINCE produced a fair last effort behind Power Koepp who has since franked the form.
11:15 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1000m

SPECIAL M raced on the speed last time when beaten just over a length by California Deeply. He is a consistent type and another good run is expected. MARK THE MOMENT produced an eye-catching local debut on the All Weather and only needs to transform that onto turf to have a say.
11:45 – Race 11 | Class 3 | 1400m

RED LION got caught deep last time and that run is probably best ignored. He tries an extra furlong and should be one of the leading contenders. The grey GOOD BUDDY went too hard in front last time. He is likely to get there much easier this time around and can give a good account of himself in the lucky last!
