SKY GEM finished 2.3 lengths behind BOYS PARTY last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights, and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line.

PRIME MORTAR produced a fair last effort when beaten by Beauty Eternal who has since franked the form. He meets the right field and looks nicely weighted with 57kgs to shoulder. MARVEL DRAGON meets the top selection on similar weight terms and looks like the biggest danger in this contest.

RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE finished runner-up behind subsequent winner Yes We Can on this course last time. He has cracked pole position and will have plenty of followers. The South African-bred GREEN LASER has placed in his last two starts on the All-Weather and should give the top selection a run for his money.

PLEASANT ENDAVOUR finished strongly to win his last start over this C&D. He steps up into Class 3 and should be up to the task at hand. FLYING DRAGON has been narrowly-beaten in his last two starts over this C&D. He will benefit from a 4.5kgs apprentice claim and must be considered.

MARADO meets PERFECT PEACH on identical weight terms and is the narrow first selection courtesy of his inside barrier position. SPEEDY FAY FAY tried hard last time when beaten by the progressive Sweet Encounter. He is likely to race on the speed and will strip much fitter having his second run after a rest.

THE GOLDEN SCENERY ran on nicely from off the pace last time when 1.5 lengths behind The Irishman. He gets in-form Ferraris in the saddle and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HEALTHY HAPPY is a Group 3 winner and finished runner-up behind the highly-talented California Spangle last time out. He comes in at the top of the weights and merits the healthiest respect.
10:35 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1650m | All Weather

MAXIMUS went close on this course in his comeback run albeit over shorter. He has a wide draw to overcome but is still favoured to win in this line-up. VIVA HUNTER was surprisingly beaten just under a length in his first start on the All Weather and could be one to cause an upset.

ENCHANTING IBIS ran on strongly from off the pace last time over this C&D. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest, looks nicely handicapped and has a Three-time British Champion Jockey in the irons. PHOENIX LIGHT produced a fair comeback run when beaten just over two lengths by Oriental Smoke. He won his penultimate start over this C&D and will strip much fitter.
11:45 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

SWEET ENCOUNTER overcame a wide draw and kept finding to make it two from two. He may still be ahead of the handicapper at this stage of his career and looks one of the better bets on the card. HAPPY DAILY won under a vigorous ride from Chau last time. He is in a good space and is chasing back-to-back wins. SWORD POINT placed in an Australian Group 2 last time and must be also be considered in the lucky last.
