CHEVAL VALIANT stayed on nicely last time when runner-up behind Flying Season over this C&D. The form of his penultimate run catches the eye when beaten a neck by fellow rival GLENEALY GENERALS. He is 1kg better off at the weights on that effort and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SWEET DIAMOND produced a fair debut run over this C&D and should come on nicely with that run under the belt.

DRAGON KINGDOM produced a good comeback run after a four-month layoff when beaten just under two lengths by Telecom Missile. He should strip much fitter and from his inside draw can make his presence felt. ONE STEP AHEAD has consistent form having placed in his last four outings and will just have to overcome a wide barrier to have a say.

HAPPY TRIO showed potential on debut when placing albeit five lengths behind Run Run Cool. He has cracked a neat draw, would have gained from the experience and should make natural improvement. STARRY NIGHT was only beaten a neck by Eternal Bloom last time and is a horse that is still on the upgrade. He has cracked a wide draw and Z. Purton will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

JOLLY FOREVER and FORTUNE TRIPLE were separated by the narrowest of margins last time when close-up behind Sky Gem over further at Happy Valley. There isn’t much between them at the weights and both are leading contenders in this event.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 Handicap | 1400m

AMAZING VICTORY set the pace last time when beaten a nose by Country Boy over this C&D. He is still lightly raced and won’t have to improve by much to find the winners enclosure. JOYFUL GENIUS has consistent recent form to his credit. It is surprising that he is still winless but from his inside draw, merits healthy respect.

ERIMO produced an eye-catching debut run when beaten a nose at the wire by Eternal Bloom. He showed greenness on that occasion but should come on leaps with that run under the belt. The South African-bred APEX TOP comes in at the bottom of the weights, has placed in his last two outings and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest.

NERVOUS WITNESS bounced back to his best last time when an impressive winner over this distance at Happy Valley. He has plenty of gate speed and if allowed a soft lead, will take a power of beating. HONG KONG WIN managed to finish in front of Happy Valley’s 1000m course record holder STOLTZ last time and could be one to fill the exacta spot.

COPARTNER ELITES is coming along the right way and was only beaten a nose by the progressive Rise Brethren last time. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and will have plenty of followers in this contest. RUNNING GLORY backed up his favourite status last time when defeating Super Winner over a mile and is capable of making it quick back-to-back wins if relishing the step up in distance.
11:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

PACKING TREADMILL went from gun to tape last time over this C&D. Science Patch has since franked the form and this chestnut gelding will be looking to keep his unbeaten record intact. VOYAGE BUBBLE followed up his recent win well when beaten a couple of lengths by BUZZINGA. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

WINNING METHOD ran on well from off the pace last time when defeating Captain Win over this C&D. He remains in Class 2 and should be one of the leading contenders. NAVAS TWO finished his race off strongly last time when beaten just over two lengths by Blaze Warrior. He shoulders a handy galloping weight and could be one to cause an upset in the lucky last!
