The Millard trained YOUNG SPARKLE has placed in both attempts on this course. He produced a fair last effort over this distance and can challenge top the selection.
7.30 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 2000m

STAR OF GLORY moved like a winner last time under this apprentice when beaten just under a length by This Is Charisma. He will strip a much fitter horse and will be looking to make amends.
LOYAL AMBITION has stayed on well in his last two starts. He is likely to race on the speed and should give another good account of himself.
FLASH FAMOUS was only beaten half a length in his comeback run and De Sousa may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most.
8.00 – Race 3 | Class 2 | 1200m

IMA SINGLE MAN looked a winner last time when outrun late by Fantastic Treasure. He is nicely weighted with an apprentice up and is the narrow first selection.
FANTASTIC WAY finished right behind the top selection in his comeback run and is another leading contender.
LUCKY WITH YOU fought hard to win his last start and the only concern is that he comes in at the top of the weights.
8.30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1000m

This Class 4 Handicap could turn out to be the battle of apprentices Chan & Chung. BIG ME caught the eye in a smart debut victory over this C&D. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and can make it quick back-to-back wins.
CHEVAL VALIANT showed his customary pace last time when beaten just over a length by the top selection and is the obvious danger in the race.
9.00 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1400m
Selections: 5/7/9
STAR CONTACT rallied late with Happy Daily last time when a narrow winner over this C&D. He escaped with a fair penalty and can follow up on his recent triumph.
STUNNING IMPACT was beaten just under three lengths by the top selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
9.35 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1800m
Selections: 6/7/3
ENTRUSTED finished positively up the inside rail last time when narrowly beaten by Looking Great and it is encouraging that Chadwick has kept faith in the ride.
INTREPID WINNER placed in his last two starts before the break. He races fresh from a layoff and can challenge the top selection.
10.05 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1400m

UNIVERSAL HORIZON is an unexposed sort with plenty of scope for improvement. He followed up his debut victory with a decent effort behind Good Buddy and the only concern is that he may need gelding.
BLISSFUL STAR was beaten just under a length last time and from his neat draw can go close in this contest.
10.35 – Race 8 | Group 2 | 1600m
Selections: 3/9/5
CALIFORNIA SPANGLE dictated terms and wasn’t even asked the question by Purton in a Group 3 last time. He has pace to overcome the wide draw and should take a power of beating.
SENOR TOBA was beaten a couple of lengths by RUSSIAN EMPEROR in a Group 1 last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
11.10 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1400m
Selections: 1/3/11
CAPTAIN WIN was beaten just over a length by TUCHEL last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits.
HORSESAIN BOLT ran on nicely from off the pace last time. He finished just over a length behind the second selection in his penultimate start and is now 3kgs better off at the weights.
11.45 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1200m

PACKING TREADMILL is a serious talent on the rise. He has produced three wins from five starts and has the best strike-rate in this line-up.
SETANTA burst through a gap to get up late at the wire last time. He likes this distance and must be considered in the lucky last.
GOOD BUDDY tracked the leader and moved up powerfully to beat King Of The Court last time. He runs well for Ferraris and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
