GLENEALY GENERALS was a narrow winner of his last start when defeating Flying Season in this division. He looks nicely handicapped once more and can make it quick back-to-back wins. LUCKY GOR showed promise on debut when beaten a couple of lengths by Flying Season. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and can challenge the top selection.

TOYCOON finished right behind the top selection last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

CHEERY produced a fair debut effort when beaten just over two lengths by subsequent winner Packing Treadmill. He would have gained from the experience and will have plenty of followers. LIFELINE VISION is joint top-weight and is yet to win in Hong Kong but he has all the credentials to win a race of this nature.

BOOM ALLIANCE failed to crack the Hong Kong Derby line-up and has found himself nicely handicapped in a Class 3 showdown. He was beaten by the narrowest of margins in a competitive event last time and will be looking to make amends. RISE BRETHREN was involved in the finish alongside the top selection last time and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line.

ZOOM BOOM was just pipped last time when beaten by shock winner MAJESTIC VICTORY last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and should be one of the leading contenders. CHARITY GRACE is better than his below-par last start. He steps up to a mile and could be one to cause an upset.

VOYAGE BUBBLE backed up his favourite status when an impressive winner of his second start. The manner in which he drew off at the finish suggests there is plenty more to come from this individual and looks one of the better bets on the card. HERE COMES TED almost made it back-to-back wins last time when beaten a neck by READY TO WIN. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and is the ride of South African jockey L. Ferraris.
10:40 – Race 8 | The Hong Kong Derby | 2000m

ROMANTIC WARRIOR and CALIFORNIA SPANGLE renew their rivalry, are drawn closer together and The Derby is set to be a humdinger. Purton rode a clever race last time when effectively utilizing the better draw and he may adopt for similar tactics depending on how the race pans out. SENOR TOBA is held by the above-mentioned pair but could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
11:15 – Race 9 | Class 3 Handicap | 1400m

CALIFORNIA SKY and COMPASSION SPIRIT were separated by the narrowest of margins last time when beaten by SAUVESTRE over this C&D. The pair look nicely handicapped in this contest and could turn the tables on their recent conqueror. ROYAL BOMB placed last time over a mile when beaten a couple of lengths by Zone D and must be respected.
11:50 – Race 10 | Class 2 Handicap | 1200m

BLAZE WARRIOR ran on from far back over this C&D last time when beaten just over a length by Cordyceps Six. The 1200m seems to be the best trip at this stage of his career and he definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. KEEP YOU WARM has finished just under a length behind in the winner in his last two starts and must be considered in the lucky last!
