FLYING SEASON won at just the second time of asking when defeating Cheval Valiant over this C&D. He looks like a progressive individual and the step up to Class 3 isn’t a huge concern, especially with just 52.5kgs to shoulder. FORTE is better than his moderate last start. He drops back to the minimum trip and is capable of finding a form return in this opening contest.

BRAVE POWER produced a fair last run when beaten 1.5 lengths by Team Goodluck on this course. He steps up to a mile and if overcoming the wide draw, will be doing his best work in the latter stages. LIGHT MY DAY returns from a two-month layoff and is the class in the race. He shoulders top weight which is a slight concern but the step back into Class 5 should be right up his alley.
07:45 – Race 3 | Class 2 Handicap | 1600m

CHARITY GO followed up his fifth career win with two outstanding performances when beaten just under a length. He is in career-best form and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. BEAUTY JOY is a frontrunner with pace, was only beaten just under a length last time despite fighting with the rider and may be difficult to peg back at the wire.
08:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 Handicap | 2000m

LUCKY DIAMOND produced a fair last run when beaten just over two lengths by Nothing Impossible. He looks nicely handicapped and if overcoming the wide draw, should give another good account of himself. PERFECT MARYKNOLL was beaten a couple of lengths last time by subsequent winner Packing Famous and merits healthy respect in this type of field.
09:10 – Race 5 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

CAMPIONE caught the eye on debut when beaten just under a length by Flying Ace. He finished right behind BEAUTY MISSION on that occasion, is 1kg better off at the weights and it is encouraging that South African jockey L. Ferraris has been given another chance to ride him. KUMASI has ability, shoulders a handy galloping weight and could be one to cause an upset.
09:40 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

NOBLE BOYZ was almost a shock winner last time when beaten a nose by Telecom Missile over this C&D. He shoulders a light weight and K. Teetan may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most. AUGUST MOON has been beaten just over a length in both outings since recording back-to-back wins. He looks nicely handicapped and will have plenty of followers.
10:10 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap – 1400m

SUPER DYNAMITE finished close-up behind a decent type over this C&D last time and has cracked pole. SUPER WINNER was beaten the same margin by Running Glory over a mile last time. He may be held by COPARTNER AMBITION on his penultimate run but is likely to race on the speed and may be tough to peg back in the closing stages.
10:40 – Race 8 | Class 4 Handicap | 1400m

MILLENIUM FALCON is the class horse in the race. He was an impressive winner over this C&D last time and despite shouldering top weight, can make it quick back-to-back wins. BOOM STITCH prefers this course, has trialed since his disappointing last effort and can find a swift return to form.
11:15 – Race 9 | Class 4 Handicap | 1400m

ORIENTAL SMOKE has found one better in all three starts to date. He was just pipped by Golden Empire last time and if suited to the drop in distance, will take a power of beating. MY ECSTATIC produced a fair last effort when beaten just over a length by Smiling Collector. He has cracked a neat draw and despite still being a one-time winner, merits healthy respect.
11:50 – Race 10 | Class 3 Handicap | 1400m

BEAUTY LIVE is a two-time winner from four starts and is a horse that is still on the upgrade. He almost reeled off the hat-trick last time when beaten a neck by Leading Fortune over a mile. He is talented and should bounce back to winning ways in the lucky last. CIRCUIT STELLAR had to be switched for a run and probably should have finished closer behind Galaxy Witness last time. He was beaten a length by the top selection in his penultimate start and is now 6kgs better off at the weights.
