KAHOLO ANGEL managed to beat a few of these on debut and should come on nicely with that run under the belt. JOYFUL PROSPERITY and SUPER BONUS were separated by just over a length when behind the top selection and both should make natural improvement in this opening contest.

The South African-bred APEX TOP was given a good ride by Luke Ferraris to win his last start. He remains in Class 5 and will be looking to make it quick back-to-back wins. HEAVENLY THOUGHT finished just under three lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer this time around.

MARVEL DRAGON was beaten by the narrowest of margins over this distance in his comeback run. He will strip a much fitter horse and should be one of the leading contenders. MODULECONSTRUCTION has placed in all four career attempts. He reunites with Vincent Ho and can earn his first career win.

NICHOLSON RETURNS has consistent recent form lines to his credit. He tries 2000m for the first time and is a genuine contender if relishing the extra furlong on offer. The Millard trained ABOVE made nice improvement when runner-up behind Natural Storm. He is a four-time winner on this course and can confirm his recent improvement.
08:30 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1600m

FAST BUCK was beaten by a neck on the All-Weather course last time and will just need to transfer that form onto turf to have a say. SUPERB MOVE was narrowly beaten in his last start. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and can give the top selection a good run for his money.
09:00 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

WATCH BUDDY made a big improvement in his second start when pipped at the wire. He has cracked a neat draw and another good run is expected. MULTIDARLING finished runner-up behind the unbeaten Happy Golf in his last start. He meets the right field and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
09:35 – Race 7 | Class 2 | 1200m

GOLDEN EXPRESS has reeled off two good wins recently and the hat-trick is definitely on the cards. He is still on the upgrade and should take a power of beating in this contest. ORIENTAL SMOKE is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard. He placed behind a talented sort last time and can challenge the top selection.
10:05 Race 8 | Class 4 | 1400m

GOLDEN BULL is yet to win but has ultra-consistent form lines. He has reached the frame in all seven starts and is difficult to oppose on form. The top-weight GOOD NEWS is better than his below-par last effort and can go close if bouncing back to his attractive prior form lines. LADY’S CHOICE showed good improvement last time and can run into the money once again.
10:35 – Race 9 | Group 3 | 2400m

STRAIGHT ARRON won his last start in style defeating SWORD POINT. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. RUNNING GLORY wasn’t disgraced in a Group 2 last time and can give a good account of himself if seeing out the extra distance.
11:10 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1000m

FLYING HIGH got up where it matters most to defeat the speedy CHEVAL VALIANT last time. He is going for a hat-trick of wins and merits healthy respect. RED ELEGANCE was an impressive debut winner. He is taking on stronger rivals but it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride.
11:45 – Race 11 | Class 3 | 1400m

MIGHTY STRIDE won easier than the margin suggests last time and is a talent worth following. He beat HYPER DRAGON BALL who has since come out and franked the form. Hugh Bowman gets on well with this chestnut and the combination are one of the better bets on the card. AMAZING VICTORY has consistent recent form lines to his credit and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
