Ferraris has been given another opportunity to ride him and the pair can make it quick back-to-back wins. The South African-bred UNITE SPIRIT was beaten five lengths by the top selection last time. He is only 0.5kgs better off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result in this opening contest.

SPEED FORCE was narrowly beaten in his last start by Telecom Cheetah. He shoulders a handy galloping weight and if overcoming the wide draw, will take a power of beating. CROWN AVENUE finished a head behind back-to-back winner Fortune Patrol last time and should be one of the leading contenders.

WHAT A LEGEND produced a fair last effort when beaten 1.5 lengths by Circuit Seven. He steps up to 1200m and could be one to cause an upset in this type of field. FLYING DRAGON finished a length behind the top selection last time and meets him on the same weight terms. COLOURFUL PRINCE caught the eye in a trial recently and can start his career on a positive note.
14:45 – Race 4 | Class 5 Handicap | 1200m

BEAUTY CHEERS finished just over a length behind Telecom Missile on the turf last time. He isn’t short of race fitness and if reproducing that type of effort, will have a say in the outcome of this contest. REGENCY GEM was beaten 1.75 lengths by GOLDEN MISSION last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
15:15 – Race 5 | Class 1 Handicap | 1200m

MAJESTIC STAR backed up his favourite status when defeating KEEP YOU WARM last time. He is in search of a hat-trick of wins and with just 51.5kgs on his back, is difficult to oppose. DUKE WAI is better than his below-par last run. He is 3kgs better off at the weights with the top selection on his penultimate start and merits healthy respect.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

THUNDERSTRIKE finished well last time when beaten a head over this C&D by Eight Trigrams and if overcoming the wide draw, will take a power of beating with Z. Purton in the saddle. FIERY DIAMOND finished a couple of lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and with Moreira aboard, looks the biggest danger.
16:15 – Race 7 | Class 3 Handicap | 1800m

ULTRA EXPRESS was beaten 5.5 lengths by back-to-back winner APACHE PASS last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and seems to be at his best on this course. PARTY EVERYDAY was beaten just over a length by ROMANTIC COMBO in his penultimate start. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
16:50 – Race 8 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

LIGHTNING BOLT is a three-time winner from six starts. He relished the dirt last time when defeating Everyone’s Victory by 1.3 lengths. He is still on the upgrade, remains in Class 3 and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. LOVING A BOOM stayed on strongly last time, drops back to Class 3 and despite having to shoulder top weight, must be included in the lucky last!
