RED KNOT produced a promising debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. She understandably was green in running, shifted to the inside of the track and finished off her race nicely. The daughter of Gold Standard would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat in this line-up.

ON THE HORIZON is unbeaten from three starts to date. She won a good race when returning from a 12- week break over 1600m last time. The daughter of Judpot should have no issues with the step up to 1800m. This is her toughest test to date, but she looks to be above average and can keep her unbeaten record intact.

He was not disgraced when finishing fourth in his penultimate run in the Grade 3 Betway Graham Beck Stakes in his penultimate run. The son of What A Winter is the best-weighted runner in this contest and he should take a power of beating.
