Please note Turffontein has received 59mm of rainfall in the last two days while the Vaal has received around 40mm. A track inspection showed surface water lying on the Inside Track while the pen at the Vaal is currently 28 (this should improve to around 26 by tomorrow) therefore a decision has been made to move the Turffontein Inside Track meeting scheduled for Tuesday to the Vaal Classic Track. Race 5 will now be run over 2400m. All other distances remain the same and race times remain as is.

DIVINE DYNASTY has finished second in her last two starts in the Western Cape. She moved up like a winner last time, but was outrun in the latter stages by Rosie Roan. The daughter of Dynasty has finished second twice and third once from four starts over this distance. If suited to the right-hand turn, she should shed her maiden tag.
Race 4: CITY BY THE SEA (7)

CITY BY THE SEA ran a good race when finishing second in his last start over 1600m on the Standside course. He raced from a handy position, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Indlamu. He won his maiden over this C&D and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure once again.

FLYING BULL was ultra-impressive when winning his last start over 2000m on this course. He quickened up well and was geared down in the latter stages. The son of Soft Falling Rain tries the 2600m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should notch up his fourth career victory.
Race 6: WILLOW’S WISH (2)

WILLOW’S WISH is the best bet on the programme. His comeback run when finishing third over 1160m on the Standside course was eye-catching. He lost a length at the start and finished his race off strongly. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Willow Magic should strip a much fitter horse today and will take a power of beating.

BALLY MAGIC caught the eye when shedding his maiden tag over 1450m on this course. The manner in which he quickened up and finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Willow Magic takes on stronger, but he will love the rise to the mile and he has plenty of scope. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena is engaged to ride.
