PONDEROSA PINE showed very good improvement in her last start over 1800m on this course. Despite receiving a bump initially, she raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Silvano and she should be at peak fitness. She is the horse to beat.

WARBONNET CREEK showed very good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position, moved up but was outrun late. Anathi Feni takes the ride this afternoon and if confirming his recent improvement, he can shed his maiden tag.
