The Cell C Sharks were made to endure a tough old night as the Britsh & Irish Lions bagged their second win of the tour up in Johannesburg. We take a look at the Lions' player ratings here:

Two women looking excitedly at cellphone

Josh Adams: Lining up at full back, he helped himself to three more tries – the first courtesy of a fine one-handed pick-up – to the five he had plundered in the opening two games of the tour. 8/10

Louis Rees-Zammit: Played a key role in Adams’ opening try and added his name to the scoresheet in the second half after showing a blistering turn of pace. 7

Elliot Daly: Starting at centre, looked far from out of place and produced a beautiful flick to allow Duhan Van Der Merwe to score his third try. 7

Bundee Aki: Hugely physical in both defence and attack and powered his way over for a first-half try. 7

Duhan Van Der Merwe: Showed his class to cross the try line three times, chasing down Owen Farrell’s intelligent kick ahead for the second of his treble, and showed impressive composure inside his own 22. 9

Owen Farrell: Restored to the fly-half position, staked his claim for the number 10 Test shirt as he exploited the gaps in the Sharks defence to create a series of openings, and kicked three of four first-half conversions. 8

Ali Price: At times looked vulnerable in defence but more comfortable behind the scrum to keep the Lions moving forward. 6

Mako Vunipola: Endured a challenging first half in the tight, but eventually worked himself on to the right side of referee Jaco Peyper and prospered in the loose. 6

Luke Cowan-Dickie: Immensely-combative display in broken play and near faultless at the line-out to further strengthen his case for Test selection. 8

Zander Fagerson: Busy around the field and won an early turnover but also had his work cut out in the scrum. 6

Iain Henderson: A disruptive presence throughout as he worked hard to deny the Sharks quick ball and provide a foundation for his own side. 7

Adam Beard: Another who slowed down possession for the opposition by making a nuisance of himself, particularly in the maul. 7

Josh Navidi: Worked tirelessly as part of an impressive back-row display and was unfortunate to see a late try chalked off. 8

Tom Curry: Forced an early turnover on his own line to set the tone for a rampaging display. 8

Sam Simmonds: Floated a fine pass over the top for Van der Merwe’s first try and was a constant threat with the ball in hand. 8
