With the Six Nations, Top 14 and Premiership on the go, we highlight four magic moments from the past weekend’s rugby action.

Rugby stunners

Faletau demonstrates his enduring class

Despite having played just two games this season, and in spite of the fact that he hadn’t played Test rugby for 11-months, injury-prone Wales and Lions No 8 Taulupe Faletau was named in Wayne Pivac’s starting side for their clash with England at Twickenham on Saturday. The Bath man had already cemented his place as one of the greatest eighthmen of the modern era, but his classic performance on the weekend enhanced his reputation even further.

Slade executes 50:22 stunner

England were in complete control during the first half of their clash with Wales and headed into the break leading 12-0. The classy Henry Slade, operating at inside centre, was a big reason his side stayed on the front foot during that opening 40-minutes and demonstrated this remarkable 50:22 from his own 10m with half-time approaching. The reaction from Liam Williams says it all!

Future in the Premier League for Tyrone Green?

Former Junior Springbok and Lions fullback Tyrone Green produced a brilliant moment of footballing skill during his Harlequins side’s 29-21 win over Worcester Warriors at the Sixways on Friday.

Serfontein cops a nasty one

During his side’s 30-3 win over Stade Français at the GGL Stadium on Sunday, former Springbok centre Jan Serfontein took a nasty one to the nuts. It doesn’t get any better no matter how many times you watch it.

Trokkie shows off Kolbe-esque skills

Juarno “Trokkie” Augustus has been in fine form for the Northampton Saints since his move there last year and was heavily involved again during his side’s narrow 31-34 loss to Exeter Chiefs at Franklin’s Gardens on Sunday. The 2017 World Rugby Junior Player of the Year showed some fancy footwork à la former Stormers teammate Cheslin Kolbe to set up Matty Proctor in the first half and would go on to score a try later on too, ultimately in vain.
