Bafana Bafana boss Hugo Broos is sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams.
The 31-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns stopper picked up an injury in the MTN8 final loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
South Africa are due to play Eswatini and the Ivory Coast in international friendly matches, starting on Friday at Orlando Stadium ahead of travelling to Abidjan on October 17.
Bafana team doctor Thabo Maleka explained that Williams will continue to be assessed.
He said in the Citizen: “The team is giving him all the necessary attention.
“For the fact that we have him here in the camp we might see him on the pitch, depending on how he does with our management.”
Williams sat out of Bafana’s recent 1-0 friendly win over the DR Congo due to illness with Ricardo Goss taking his place.
