Neil Maupay opened the scoring after he nodded home from close range in the 11th minute to bag his first goal in 14 months only for a Mohammed Kudus’ acrobatic effort and a Jarod Bowen tap-in to put the visitors ahead heading into the interval.

The home side were good value all first half and came out the blocks flying in the second stanza. The pressure on Alphonse Areola’s goal would soon be rewarded when Bryan Mbuemo’s delivery to the back post would force Konstantinos Mavropanos to head into his own goal just ten minutes after the restart.
The stage was now set, 35 minutes plus injury time to play with the Gtech Community in full voice behind the team to find a winner. Thomas Frank’s men were relentless going forward in search of it. The moment would eventually come 20 minutes from time. Mathias Jensen delivered a peach of a delivery to the back post which was met by a towering Nathan Collins who thumped his header home.
