Alfie Haaland was a proud dad watching on as his son, Erling picked up his first ever Premier League winners medal following their home game against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Julian Alvarez’s first-half strike was enough to see the Cityzens claim a 1-0 win over the Blues as Pep Guardiola’s side already knew they were guaranteed to win a third successive title before kicking off.

Countless priceless moments were captured during Man City’s coronation after the game, but few will come close to Alfie Haaaland watching on as his son puts on a Premier League Gold Medal in front of thousands of football fans inside the Etihad Stadium.
He has been alongside his son throughout his career to date, and was seen filming Erling when he went to collect his medal ahead of the trophy lift at the Etihad Stadium, before the pair celebrated together on the pitch.
It was Erling’s first trophy since he joined from Borussia Dortmund last summer, and he could not resist sharing the moment with his father, who also played for the same club.
It was also just the third time in Premier League history that a team has won the title for three-straight seasons, with Manchester United doing it on the other two occasions (1998-01 and 2006-09).

Alf-Inge Haaland spent three years at City between 2000 and 2003, but the team were relegated from the Premier League in his first season, and he rarely played after that due to a serious knee injury.
Haaland Sr played a significant role in securing Haaland his move to City in the first place, and has been at most of his games throughout the season.

There could be more celebrations to come for Erling and Alf-Inge in the coming weeks, with City playing in two finals over the next fortnight as they aim to win the Treble for the first time in their history.
