Desh Parthab previews Game Week 10 of the Spanish La Liga!
Before the international break, news broke of Sevilla and then manager Jose Mendilbar separating. Indeed, the reigning Europa League champions have picked up just two wins in the Spanish topflight. Log leaders, Real Madrid, made light work of Osasuna, brushing the Pamplona outfit aside 4-0. Granada stunned barcelona, with Ter Stegen conceding in the opening minute. Sergi Roberto netted in the 85th minute to rescue a point and maintain their unbeaten start to the season. They are up against former Madrid manager, Rafa Benetez, in this weekend’s La Liga action. Las Palmas have taken 8 points from a maximum of 12 on home soil this season. That string of strong results has seen them move into the top half of the log and I think their ascent continues this weekend. Despite coming into this round of fixtures trailing log leaders, Real Madrid, by 3 points – Barcelona are the only club yet to see defeat in the Spanish topflight. Their quest to defend their La Liga crown has gotten off to a near perfect start, however 2 draws across their previous 3 league outings has slowed the Blaugrana machine down.
