The 33-year-old winger was snapped up by Yanga from relegated DStv Premiership side Marumo Gallants this season.

He had initially been injured but has been fit in recent weeks, and is making the most of his new opportunity.

Yanga are currently in second place on the Tanzanian Premier League standings, with six wins from seven games; just a point behind league leaders Azam but having played two games less.

Makudubela’s new team next face third-placed Simba at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Sunday.

Gamondi told FARPost: “I’m happy with him, he’s working very hard.

“He was unlucky to be injured in the first game. After that, it’s been difficult for him to come back and win a starting place in the team. But I think he’s doing very well.”

Gamondi added: “But like every player in the team, he has a role. He has a strong point and a weak point. Skudu will be helpful for us in some moments of the game. I’m very happy with him.

“I know the fans love him because he makes show off, but we also need efficiency. He’s a good export from South African football.”
