Lorch has enjoyed a fast start to life at Sundowns after registering three goals with one assist in eight appearances across all competitions so far in the 2023/24 campaign.

Having joined the reigning DStv Premiership champions with a star-studded squad with stiff competition for places, Lorch has impressed after being awarded a starting berth.

Despite his encouraging start to life at Chloorkop, Mokwena revealed that he is demanding even more.

“Am I happy? No, I’m quietly content and he knows I want more,” Mokwena said post-match.

“That’s for everybody, where I want more from Gaston [Sirino], I want more from [Matias] Esquivel, Bongani Zungu. I want more from [Teboho Mokoena] Tebza, more from Marcelo [Allende].

“I’m just that guy, I want more from myself and I hold myself to a very high standard, and I demand a lot from myself.

“Therefore, I demand a lot from the players too. But I love them probably more now than I do before kick-off.

“They’re a very special group as I always say, and I feel I am very privileged to be their coach.”

Sundowns will after the international break travel to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the first leg of a CAF Champions League quarter-final clash at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on 30 March.
