The 23-year-old has not played any minutes from the opening three games of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

He made the bench for the MTN8 quarter-final penalty shootout defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, but didn’t get onto the field.

Amakhosi made a number of new signings ahead of the current campaign, with Sifiso Hlanti having been utilised in the left-back role this term by Baxter, along with Sibusiso Mabiliso.

The head coach said on KickOff: “He’s doing very well and working very hard, the way we played this evening, Happy would probably be competing with Sifiso [Hlanti], as it was, we had Mabiliso who played against Sundowns.

“We had enough attacking players on the field we have a Khama [Billiat], we’ve got a Samir [Nurkovic], Bernard [Parker], Keagan [Dolly], Lebo [Manyama[ and at this moment I think they are more versatile, they give us more flexibility than Happy.

“He’s working very hard and I’m pleased with him but he’s got to push on now and wait for his chance when it comes he needs to take it.”
