Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly deciding whether to sign former Stellenbosch FC forward Fuad Johnson.

According to KickOff.com, the 19-year-old Johnson is training with AmaKhosi hoping to land a contract with the Soweto Giants.

“According to sources, Fuad Johnson is currently training with the Gauteng-based side and an offer could take place for the free agent who recently parted ways with Stellenbosch in June,” KickOff.com reported.

“It is understood that the 19-year-old featured in a friendly behind closed doors against the senior Chiefs side over the weekend.”

At last years Bayhill tournament, Johnson got noticed by a number of the big clubs after being crowned the top scorer in the competition.

Johnson is currently a free agent having been released by Stellenbosch and has now reportedly been seen at Chiefs’ pre-season training.

The player left Stellenbosch due to being unhappy with what the Cape side had offered the striker financially to remain at the club.
