The 30-year-old Hazard joined Real from Chelsea in 2019 for a six-figure fee but has just never really fired while playing in the Spanish capital.

There were unfounded reports at one stage of him going back to Chelsea on a loan-deal to kick-start his career again but that came to nothing.

Now according to El Nacional, Real are prepared to cut their losses and let Hazard leave the club for a fee of £34m, his current deal is only expiring in 2024.

It is claimed club president Florentino Perez wants Hazard out of the club with Newcastle United looking like a possible candidate for the players signature.

In 54 games, Hazard has only scored five goals with nine assists. He did not play in the win over Sevilla due to gastroenteritis.
