The 37-year-old attacker has been sidelined since October 2023 due to a nasty leg injury where he sustained a double leg fracture after a challenge by Bongani Zungu, during the Carling Black Label Knockout match, where the Rockets defeated the reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns 5-4 on penalties.

Parker has been medically cleared by doctors to participate in full-contact training with Ramovic optimistic on Parker’s.

Speaking at the Nedbank Cup media briefing the German tactician praised Parker as one of the best South African players ever produced.

“He is an unbelievable player, I think he is one of the best South African players after Benni McCarthy,” said Ramovic.

“He is a hard-working guy, he is a good human being and I can only talk about him in superlative things. He is just unbelievable. I am thankful and grateful that I have met him.

“Because I have learnt a lot from him, he is a very mentally strong guy. To come back so fast to the field after this very tough injury, it’s just unbelievable and it shows why he stayed so long in the business.

“I am sure he will be back in action before the end of the season to play for us.”

TS Galaxy will next face ABC Motsepe League side D’General in a Nedbank Cup Round of 16 on Sunday at the Free State Stadium.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
