Club captain Innocent Maela has hailed the two latest signings made by Orlando Pirates as the Soweto giants aim to challenge for honours

Lebitso signed a two-and-a-half-year deal after parting ways with Chippa United last month.

Mbatha left SuperSport United on a six-month loan deal which includes an option for the Buccaneers to purchase at the end of the campaign.

Maela is chuffed that the two midfielders have joined the Soweto giants, and he is confident they will make an impact.

“Look… top, top players. We support them and I am sure they’ll be able to contribute massively going forward,” said Maela, as quoted by Sowetan Live.

“I’ve always said this, we trust our leadership, we trust our management that whenever they bring in players, they bring in the best.

“They always bring in players who come in and improve us as a team.”
