Ranga Chivaviro admits he still needs to adapt to Kaizer Chiefs to be able to perform at his best.
The 30-year-old striker was snapped up by Amakhosi for the current campaign following his impressive showing for Marumo Gallants last season.
Chivaviro netted 17 goals in 30 games in all competitions as Gallants made it to to the CAF Confederation semi-finals, alongside their relegation from the DStv Premiership.
But he is yet to hit the target in six games this time around having recently struggled with injury, and is determined to improve for the benefit of his team and teammates.
The former All Stars and Baroka frontman said in the Sowetan: “With the plans the coach and his tactical staff have, as a player you need to adapt. Not everything is going to be comfortable and not everything is going to be the way you want it to be.

“Coming to an institute like this, you need to adapt to the ways things are done here and I think it’s my responsibility to make sure that I fit in and give the coaches something to say ‘he can add value’ to whatever the plan is.”
Chivaviro added: “I am alright. Obviously I started slow because I got stalled by injuries here and there. I am back now and fully fit, trying to add value to the big machine that’s Kaizer Chiefs. I always thrive to add value to the team because there’s so much quality in this club.”
Chiefs are next in action against Cape Town City on Tuesday.
