Orlando Pirates midfield strongman Miguel Timm has signed a contract extension with the Sea Robbers.
The 32-year-old extended his stay with his boyhood club by signing a one-year deal which will keep him at Pirates until the end of 2024/25 campaign.
This was confirmed by the Soweto giants on Thursday as they get their preparations underway for the new season.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that Miguel Timm has signed a new deal,” Pirates wrote in a media statement.
“The 32-year-old midfielder’s current contract was due to expire at the end of the month, but he has now put pen to paper to extend his stay at the club, keeping him on board the Bucs ship for the 2024/25 campaign, including an option for an additional season.
“Since his arrival in 2022, Timm has established himself as a key cog of the Pirates team and he has gone on to register 63 matches – winning four cups.
“Everyone at Orlando Pirates is delighted with the news and we wish Timm the very best for the coming season.”
Timm played an instrumental role in the Jose Riveiro-coached side clinching back-to-back MTN8 and Nedbank Cup trophies.
