Kaizer Chiefs have announced defenders Given Msimango, 26, from TS Galaxy, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, 24, from SuperSport United, midfielders Edson Castillo, 29, from Venezuela, Pule Mmodi, 30, from Golden Arrows, Mduduzi Mdantsane, 28, from Cape Town City and Limpopo-born striker Ranga Chivaviro, 30, from Marumo Gallants as their new signings.

Some of the players had arrived as free agents after signing pre-contracts with the Soweto giants whilst others have been purchased for undisclosed fees.

Amakhosi will be looking to have an improved campaign after their seventh season without winning a trophy which saw the club fall to a record number (12) of defeats in their PSL history.

Chiefs recently shuffled their technical department, with former Bafana Bafana head coach taking over from Arthur Zwane with “10111” being redeployed back to the assistant coach position alongside Dillon Sheppard.

The Glamour Boys will be looking to end their trophy drought again this season whilst aiming to compete for the new DStv Premiership trophy, having ended the 2022/23 season in fifth position.
