Goss was awarded the Man of the Match award after he saved an incredible three penalties in a 3-1 penalty shootout win over Cape Town City after the scores were tied at 1-1 after regulation time.

The 29-year-old, who was an understudy to Ronwen Williams when the shot-stopper had his own penalty heroics at the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON), denied Thabo Nodada, Thakgalo Leshabela and Joaquim Paciencia in the shoot-out while Siyanda Xulu slotted the winning penalty for the home team.

Matsatsantsa took the lead in the 20th minute thanks to attacker Shandre Campbell before Khanyiso Mayo levelled matters just before half-time.

Meanwhile, in the alternate fixture, Gaston Sirino scored a hat-trick as Mamelodi Sundowns brushed aside Daine Klate’s La Masia 6-1 at Dobsonville Stadium.

Terrence Mashego and Lebohang Maboe were the other Sundowns players to hit the back of the net as the DStv Premiership leaders outclassed their Motsepe Foundation Championship opponents, who got a consolation goal through a Fuad Johnson penalty.
