TS Galaxy have wished Bernard Parker a speedy recovery after the striker suffered a horror tackle on Wednesday.
The veteran frontman was upended by Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu during their Carling Knockout Cup clash.
While Zungu was handed a straight red, the game was delayed as Parker received treatment before being stretchered off the Mbombela Stadium pitch.
Galaxy ultimately won the encounter, 5-4 on penalties after the two sides were tied at 2-2 after 90 minutes.
A club statement on social media read: “We wish Bernard Parker a speedy recovery following a horrific injury last night (Wednesday).
“We’ve lost a soldier whom we shall dearly miss as our journey on the battlefield continues.
“Come back stronger, Die Hond! We dedicate last night’s victory to you.”
