The Buccaneers are currently in 13th place on the league standings with two wins from their opening six games.

They were most recently held to a goalless draw with AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday.

But the result came on the back of a busy few weeks for Riveiro’s side, as they suffered elimination from the CAF Champions League, won the MTN8 final, and secured a 2-0 victory over Cape Town Spurs in the first round of the new Carling Knockout Cup.

Next up is a tricky clash with an in-form Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Friday.

Ahead of the encounter, Riveiro said in the Citizen: “We need to capitalise and finish what we start.

“The guys are trying, we are doing a lot of things very well, and it’s something that will pay very soon rather than later.”

Rise and Shine are in fifth place on the Premiership with four wins from nine, and last thumped SuperSport United 4-1 in the Carling Knockout last weekend.
