As we gear up for the DSTV premier league to come back this weekend, the Soweto giants in Kaizer Chiefs are looking for a certain Brazilian to take over the reins.

Ever since the club had sacked Molefi Ntseki in October. They had been on the lookout for a new coach.

Cavin Johnson had been sent in to be the interim coach until a replacement was found. Well according to the latest reports, a Brazilian coach named Alexandre Gallo has been the name mentioned to possibly become the new coach.

Currently serving as the team co-ordinator with Brazilian Serie A club Santos, it remains to be seen whether he will accept the job as things now are still in talks.

However, Kaizer Chiefs have stated that they are in no rush to find a coach that will take over from Calvin for now at least.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has provided details about how the succession planning is going.

“The caretaker coach (Johnson) will be part of the journey to appoint a new coach. If you remember, we brought him to the club with a vision of development, to stabilise the technical affairs and head the youth & scouting departments”, says Motaung.

Chiefs currently lie 10th on the DStv Premiership table, having won just four games from 12.
