Amakhosi have revived their interest in bringing Bafana’s midfielder Sphephelo ‘Yaya’ Sithole who had an excellent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire. Sithole’s stunning performance saw him playing all of South Africa’s games in the continental showpiece.

The 24-year-old anchor currently plays in Portugal Liga 2 for CD Tondela, and his contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign but has an option to extend by another year. This is not the first time Chiefs have been linked with Sithole who has been playing in Portugal for six years now since he left the KwaZulu-Natal academy, the midfielder was linked with Amakhosi when his previous club B-SAD got relegated from the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but nothing was concrete.

Reports also suggest that it will be tough for the Glamour Boys to bring Yaya in Naturena as the player has been linked with a Serie A club.

Another Bafana Bafana star who is linked with a move to Naturena is Polokwane City attacker Oswin Appollis, as he helped the Limpopo-based outfit collect maximum points against Moroka Swallows this past weekend.

Appollis was linked with Chiefs before AFCON and the Soweto giants are expected to try and convince the player to join the club in the next transfer window. However, reports suggest that the 22-year-old won’t come cheap with his international experience inflating his price tag.
