Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Phakamani Mahlambi is training with SuperSport United in the hope of impressing for a permanent contract under new head coach Gavin Hunt.

SuperSport have already signed two Sundowns players in Grant Margeman and Thabang Sibanyoni. whilst former Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele is also training with Hunt’s side.

Mahlambi’s manager Glyn Binkon told KickOff that Mahlambi is training with Matsatsantsa.

“He is training with Supersport United. It’s still too early to say anything, he just started training,” Binkin said

Mahlambi scored four goals in 28 appearances while at Sundowns after impressing with Bidvest Wits and Al Ahly.

SuperSport have already signed two Sundowns players in Grant Margeman and Thabang Sibanyoni. whilst former Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele is also training with Hunt’s side.

Last season, Margeman was on loan at Swallows FC and Sibanyoni was on loan at University of Pretoria.
