The 23-year-old is currently in camp with Amakhosi in Mpumalanga under a new technical structure led by newly appointed former Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki.

“Pre-season is about preparations, physical preparation, tactical preparations and mental preparations also, said the former South Africa Under-23 star.

“We are just putting all the work together to make sure that when we leave camp we are ready and we know the war we are going to face and we are ready for it.

Ngcobo’s club career has failed to take off as expected following an impressive debut season, largely in part to various injuries which have plagued the diminutive and tricky midfielder since the 2021/22 season.

Mshini, as he is affectionately known, made just 13 appearances for The Glamour Boys last season, failing to register a goal or assist before being kept out of action by a muscle injury.

“In the coming season, we are ready to put whatever information that he (coach Molefi Ntseki) is giving us, to apply on the field and we are ready to fight for the badge,” concluded Ngcobo.

Ngcobo has featured in 58 matches in all competitions for Kaizer Chiefs, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
