The 29-year-old Zimbabwean is expected to be officially announced as part of coach Gavin Hunt’s squad in the upcoming week, having already reached an agreement.

News emerged that Dzvukamanja had already committed to SuperSport through a pre-contract agreement, prompting the Buccaneers to shift their focus towards the recent addition, Patrick Maswanganyi.

In addition to Dzvukamanja, SuperSport United are also finalizing the acquisition of Mamelodi Sundowns’ forward, Etiosa Ighodaro, who made a strong impression while on loan at Chippa United last season.

SuperSport have bolstered their ranks further by securing former Sekhukhune United goalkeeper, Washington Arubi. However, former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Eric Mathoho, has failed to impress the technical team during training and is no longer part of the SuperSport setup.

A reliable insider at the club told KickOff, “Mathoho trained with the club for a few days during their Durban training camp but did not meet their requirements. Joining the team will be Dzvukamanja, Ighodaro, and Arubi, along with several promising young players from the development side who will be promoted to the senior team.”

Due to financial constraints, the club is unable to make significant player purchases at present, but negotiations to finalize the details of Dzvukamanja’s pre-contract agreement are ongoing. Pirates, however, have successfully secured the services of Maswanganyi.
