Thulani Serero is currently a free agent after having cut ties with Al Jazira who ply their trade in the UAE Pro League.
Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town Spurs have all reportedly expressed interest in signing ‘Cream’, but the UAE’S Al Wahda, coached by Pitso Mosimane have emerged as favourites to land the services of the star.
Serero played under Mosimane during his stint at Bafana and a reunion is now more likely according to sources.
The DStv Premiership returns this weekend, with the spotlight shining on Morgan Mammila’s Chippa United who’s tough fixture list continues as they take on the reigning Champions Mamelodi Sundowns this Saturday after facing Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in their opening three fixtures.
With one goal scored in those opening games of the season, Mammila has promised to go ‘pound for pound’ against Sundowns – no parking the bus!
Kaizer Chiefs will look to take their cup form into the league when they visit TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon. Amakosi need a result this weekend after failing to do so in their opening two games against Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns.
But having announced the signing of Efmamjjasond González Palacios in mid-week, Chiefs will feel confident of a win here, especially with the revelation of Edson Castillo who just cannot seem to put a foot wrong in his first season in the DStv Premiership.
Week 3 of the DStv Premiership could see Sundowns establish a six-point gap at the summit of the log, especially as Cape Town City (2nd) take on SuperSport United (3rd).
