Stellenbosch 14/10 | Draw 17/10 | Swallows 2/1

Stellies host Steve Komphela’s Moroka Swallows on Tuesday night as they look to improve on a substandard start to the season where they have only won twice in six matches. Swallows sit in eight position and will also be looking to for three points here after being stunned 1-0 at home by Richards Bay last Friday. Though they are playing well, there are still some question marks hanging over the fitness of some of their players. They come up against a youthful Stellenbosch side, and a home win is tipped here. Both Teams to Score at 1/1.

Cape Town Spurs 3/1 | Draw 2/1 | Golden Arrows 9/10

Concerns are growing in Cape Town as Spurs are still looking for their first win of the season after five games played. They host Golden Arrows on Tuesday night, with the Durban-based side sitting in second position in the log after collecting 11 points from their six opening matches. More impressively, Arrows have scored in four of their six matches in the league – which leads me to believe that Spurs will have their work cut out for them here. Bartlett’s men have the worst attack and defence in the league so far, and Arrows are backed for the win at 9/10.

Richards Bay 16/10 | Draw 17/10| Chippa United 18/10

After getting their first win of the season against Swallows, Richards Bay will look to go again and build on it when they host Chippa United at King Zwelithini Stadium on Tuesday evening. The visitors occupy 13th spot on the log following their 3-2 loss at the hands of another KZN side in Royal AM last time out. I see a very entertaining game with goals here as both sides will fancy a win in Umlazi. First Team To Score – Chippa United at 11/10.

Orlando Pirates 2/1 | Draw 31/20 | Mamelodi Sundowns 31/20

This week’s marquee fixture sees the reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns take on the Sea Robbers at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night. The log leaders are looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league which stretches back to September 2022, but Orlando Pirates have made it a mission to go toe-to-toe with their rivals this season. Sitting in 7th spot, Pirates will have to win this game if they are to keep the pressure on the Brazilians who have already opened a seven-point gap at the summit of the table.  Back both these sides to get on the score sheet at 9/10.

TS Galaxy 15/10 | Draw 15/10 | Cape Town City 22/10

Another struggling side from the Western Cape will take to the field on Wednesday as TS Galaxy welcome Eric Tinkler’s Cape Town City at the Mbombela Stadium. Both sides are looking for their third win this season, but City will be the more pressured team on the day, having lost their last five games in all competitions. For the Rockets, a win here will see them move into the top 6 if other results favour them. I am going for a narrow home win for the Rockets here – 15/10.

SuperSport United 21/20 | Draw 17/10 | Kaizer Chiefs 28/10

AmaKhosi were held to a goalless stalemate by Royal AM in the weekend. They face SuperSport United who last won a match in August when they beat Stellenbosch by 2-1. They were also frustrated by Gaborone United in their CAF Confederation Cup tie on Saturday. I expect both teams to come out aiming for a win here, with at least one coach feeling the pressure for positive results. Kiazer Chiefs will obviously dominate the stands, but can they dominate this vibrant Matsatsantsa squad? I think they get a win at 28/10.

Royal AM (ODDS TBA) | Draw (ODDS TBA) | Sekhukhune (ODDS TBA)

Two wins for Thwihli Thwahla have seen them move up to 6th spot in the log after a mixed start to the season. They host Sekhukhune United who recently secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Saint Eloi Lupopo in the 1st-leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon. I expect another action-packed encounter here as one point separates these teams. I say they draw at (ODDS TBA)
