Tuesday 6 September

Royal AM 9/10 | Draw 22/10 | Richards Bay 3/1 (17:00)

Royal AM have done remarkably well to top the DStv Premiership standings. Especially when you consider some of the off-field issues they’ve had to deal with like Sinky Msini’s bizarre presser, the surprising departures of John Maduka and Victor Letsoalo as well as the corner shop print job the club pulled in their opener against Chiefs. They lead the way atop the DStv Standings by two points from their KZN rivals AmaZulu, with Usuthu having played one game fewer. They come up against a Richards Bay side who are punching well above their weight. The Natal Rich Boyz sit fifth, level on points with Sundowns. A win here will see the men from northern KwaZulu-Natal leapfrog several clubs – if only temporarily – to the top of the table. While Richards Bay have impressed, you can’t pass up Royal AM at 9/10 here. Get on.

Cape Town City 11/10 | Draw 2/1 | Sekhukhune 29/10

We’re off to Athlone Stadium next where an improving Cape Town City host Sekhukhune United. The Cape side have recovered well from their disastrous start and are undefeated in four, winning their last two against Amazulu and Kaizer Chiefs. Sekhukhune, meanwhile, are on a pretty dire run of form having only taken a single point from their last four games. City should win this but you can’t rule out a Sekhukhune side who, on paper at least, should be competing for a top 8 spot. I’m going to go Additional Totals – Under 2.5 at 7/20 here. Cape Town City’s last four league outings have seen this bet arrive. Let’s hope the trend continues!

Wednesday 7 September

Chippa United 44/10 | Draw 51/20 | Sundowns 7/10 (19:30)

I know Sundowns haven’t been particularly good of late, but 7/10 against rock-bottom Chippa? That’s a gift! Anyway, Sundowns were beaten last time in the Tshwane Derby by SuperSport United. The result came a few days after Masandawana dumped Gavin Hunt’s side out of the MTN8. Chippa are winless in three and are many pundits’ favourites to go down this season. Back Sundowns to get back on track with a win in Gqeberha.

Treble tipped at 36/10

Royal AM to win @ 9/10
Cape Town City vs Sekhukhune – Additional Totals – Under 2.5 @ 7/20
Sundowns to win @ 7/10
