It was Usuthu’s fourth draw in seven matches in this campaign but comes after two consecutive victories while the point for the Polokwane was after won losses in succession.

The home team now sit 12th on the DStv Premiership table with seven points after six games while Amazulu is sixth with 10 points from six matches.

The first-half was a tight with both goalkeepers having little to do but there was a moment of controversy when the visitors thought they should have had a penalty.

Home keeper Manuel Sapunga played a goal-kick to Bulelani Nikani but the defender handled the ball in the box with Usuthu’s players furiously appealing for a spot-kick but the referee waved them away.

Amazulu looked the more likely to find a winner after the interval but Tshepang Moremi blazed a good chance over the bar while Ramahlwe Mphahlele saw his header well-saved by Sapunga late on.
