Ronwen Williams DStv Premiership

Rock-solid Ronwen

Ronwen Williams has kept three clean sheets across his previous five outings across all competitions. The Supersport United shot-stopper has put in a string of good performances, underlining his status as Mzansi’s first-choice ‘keeper ahead of their upcoming friendlies. SuperSport have suffered just two league defeats on the road – no top-flight club has lost fewer on the road. They have drawn five of their nine away league fixtures and Williams could be key as they go in search of their third away league win.

Brilliant Bandile

Bandile Shandu has scored 4 goals in his previous 6 outings (across all competitions). The defender has been a driving force in getting his team on the front foot and is ever present in the advanced areas of the pitch. Pirates have an impressive home form this season, in fact only Sundowns (32) and Royal AM (26) have taken more points than Pirates (20) on home soil this season.

Luthuli form key for Chippa

Siphelele Luthuli has bagged 2 assists and a goal in his previous 3 league outings for Chippa. Since making the move from Royal AM, the attacker has been in fine form and will be crucial in his side avoiding the drop. Chippa have scored 17 league goals this term, however, 10 of them have come on the road. Their 4 away league wins are only bettered by Sundowns and Chiefs, both on 5 a piece.

Ndabayithethwa to net against Chippa?

Ndlondlo Ndabayithethwa has scored six goals in his four outings this year across all competitions. His goals have been an integral part of Marumo Gallants’ strong 2022 form – they’ve won five in five since the turn of the year. The forward is their current leading scorer in the league and comes up against a Chippa side that have conceded 15 league goals on the road this season – only TS Galaxy (18) and Baroka (21) have conceded more away from home this season.

Ohizu on fire

Chibuike Ohizu is leading the scoring charts at Sekhukhune United. The forward has bagged seven goals across his 13 league fixtures for the club. Interestingly enough, five of those seven goals have come at home, which means he was personally responsible for half of their league goals on home soil. He’ll be looking to add to his tally this time out and comes up against a Maritzburg side who haven’t kept a clean sheet across their previous five league outings.
