The DStv Premiership club ended last season in ninth place after 10 wins, eight draws and 12 losses.

Too many points were dropped on their home turf, and after starting their new campaign with a 1-1 home draw to Swallows, a determined Vilakazi wants to see his side dramatically improve results in front of their own fans.

The team next play away to Richards Bay, who lost their opener to SuperSport United, where they will have a chance to claim maximum points.

Vilakazi said in the Sowetan: “What happened last season was a lesson for everyone, so we need to do well in making sure that we win our games, especially when we are playing at home.

“We need to find ourselves in a decent position all the time. We don’t want to find ourselves being under pressure.

“We have to collect maximum points, especially when we are playing at home. When we go away, we will be looking for a point or three, but playing at home, we need to dominate and make sure we get all the three points.”
