Since then, the 28-year-old midfielder has been a valuable asset for coach Jose Riveiro, but a faction of fans have criticized his on-field approach, claiming he tends to be too elaborate, risking possession for flashy moves.

Responding to the critics in an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Ndlondlo defended his playing style, emphasizing that it was precisely this style that caught the attention of the Buccaneers during the scouting process.

“Pressure is part of everything you do,” Ndlondlo shared with Soccer Laduma. “Dealing with it as a human being and a player is crucial. The support I receive from teammates, the technical team, and everyone around me helps me handle external pressure. I play the way I do because that’s why Orlando Pirates signed me in the first place.”

Brushing off doubts about his performances, Ndlondlo stated, “It wasn’t by fluke that I joined Orlando Pirates. I got scouted because of the good work I’ve been doing. Nothing will change overnight due to some people’s opinions. Some believe in what I do, and I believe in myself. Their support helps me become a better person and player.”

Having featured in 18 matches across all competitions this season, Ndlondlo has contributed a goal and two assists. Looking ahead, Orlando Pirates are gearing up for a DStv Premiership clash against SuperSport United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on December 23.

Ndlondlo’s response highlights the resilience and self-belief that characterise his playing style, reinforcing the notion that the Buccaneers signed him for a reason, and he remains committed to proving his worth on the field.
