PLUMPTON

Race 1 No3 CHERRY COLA
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Marc Goldstein

CHERRY COLA has been campaigned almost exclusively on the Flat this year and is an unexposed horse over jumps. The mare twice finished second over today’s course and distance in the 2022/23 campaign and could easily make life difficult for favourite Dameofthecotswolds, who has squandered a few chances.

Race 4 No1 AUCUNRISQUE (Nap)
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Freddie Gordon

AUCUNRISQUE has experienced a fruitless time since his game success in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury 18 months ago but can now start to reap the benefit of a lowered mark.

He attracted plenty of support before the Sussex Champion Hurdle here in April only to fade badly over the last couple of flights. His trainer has dispensed with the cheek pieces he wore on that occasion, and it would be folly to underestimate him in spite of his welter burden.

Race 5 No3 KAUTO THE KING
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

KAUTO THE KING jumped his rivals silly at Newton Abbot at the end of last month when recording a third success at that course. On this belated first visit to Plumpton he’s fancied to follow-up, and can repel the challenge of Stormin Crossgales.

Race 6 No2 GREATNESS AWAITS

Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

GREATNESS AWAITS has been a regular earner in three outings through the summer, winning at Newton Abbot and finishing second at Worcester and Market Rasen. With a triumph here he can show that he’s more than just a summer jumper, and ready to consolidate with further successes through the autumn.

HAMILTON PARK

Race 4 No11 HAPPIER (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

HAPPIER looks over priced for this fillies’ handicap, and with the help of a tongue strap can produce an earning display. She put in a seasonal best when chasing home Cori Glory at Catterick, is very much at home on soft ground and comes here on the back of a select campaign, this being just her fifth start.

Race 5 No2 EPIDAVROS (Nap)
Trainer: Katie Scott – Jockey: PJ McDonald

EPIDAVROS beat She’s Got Bottle at CarIsle where she was never more on top than at the finish. The fact that she’s operating from a 4lb higher mark shouldn’t prove a barrier to further success, as that performance provided the Magna Grecia filly with a needed confidence boost.
