Hollywoodbets has been confirmed as the host of the Comrades Marathon 2017 halfway mark. The race takes place on Sunday 4th June.
EXTRAORDINARY MOVE FOR HOLLYWOODBETS!
Our signature purple branding has become a regular feature on the Comrades route and in the hearts of many Comrades runners. Over the past eight years Hollywoodbets team members have come out in their numbers to cheer on the runners, as they push themselves to the limit, during this world-famous ultramarathon. 2017 will see us move location on the route and take up a televised position as Drummond officially becomes known as the Hollywoodbets Halfway Mark!
Comrades organiser Aleka Harilal is looking forward to partnering with the purple team for the 2017 event.
“We were very impressed with Hollywoodbets’ activation at last year’s event. It was phenomenal! This year we couldn’t think of anyone better to run this important station during the race. We know this team will be equipped to encourage the runners on their way,” she said.
This year we are also thrilled to be able to cheer on our very own Hollywoodbets Athletics Club members taking part, with 20 runners already registered!
The Comrades Marathon takes place on the 4th of June 2017 and will be broadcast LIVE on SABC.
