Race 1
LIZA WITH A ZEE disappointed on debut over five furlongs and was immediately rested for 20 weeks. She is a 2yr old filly taking on the boys and older horses, but she won her barrier trial at this track and if not too green today, she looks to be the one to side with here. BOOMING TOWN has cracked pole position and has shown steady progress in his last three runs. He looks the immediate danger to the former. SHOULDERS is a 3yr filly who makes her debut today, but she has had four barrier trials, winning the latest. Any betting support for her should be respected. STYK AT IT is a 6yr old mare who has had many chances, but she could sneak into a minor place.

Race 2
SHE’S OUR RIPPA is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she is a speedy sort who was reeled in very late last time out over 1100M. She is sure to enjoy going the slightly shorter trip. BELROCOS BABE is also a 3yr old filly. She finished fourth on debut over five furlongs and will have come on with the run under her belt. She has cracked pole position which will help her cause. WANTON has his first start, but he won his barrier trial in fine fashion and any betting support for him should be taken seriously. ROMAN AUREUS has his first run after a 33 weeks break, but he did win his barrier trial to prove his fitness. He drops from seven furlongs and will start from handy gate three.

Race 3
BATANGAS ENTRY showed the expected improvement second time out over six furlongs when just a neck behind the winner and he is likely to enjoy the step up in distance. CORVO finished 0.8L behind the winner when making his debut over five furlongs. He was friendless in the betting market that day, suggesting that he was not expected to win first time out. He would have learnt from the experience and could threaten the former. BECKFORD drops back slightly in trip after finishing third last time out over seven furlongs. From draw three, he should be considered for all bets. VALLETTA KNIGHT showed slight improvement second time out and has pulled pole position here. He is not without a chance in this line-up.

Race 4
This looks to be an extremely competitive race and many have chances. The narrow first pick goes to EXPERT EYE who is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was just over a length behind the winner last time out over five furlongs and is drawn in gate two. She must be one of the leading contenders here. EPPLAUSE finished third in his last outing over six furlongs and although drawn wide at ten, he should be right up there when they hit the wire. WINDCHILL has pulled pole position. She is a 3yr old filly who was three lengths behind the victor in her last outing over six furlongs and she’ll enjoy going the extra ground today. ROZEIRA is yet another 3yr old filly. She drops back from seven furlongs but should be considered starting from her handy three gate position.

Race 5
Another tricky race faces punters here, this time over 2240M. STEEL PIER finished strongly to win his maiden race last time out over eleven furlongs. He takes on tougher today, but he may just be up to the task in hand. RIVER OF LOVE is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has finished second in her last two outings over nine furlongs and will be hoping to go one better today. She should have no issue with the extra distance. NEPTUNE’S CHOICE has pole position and is another who takes the step up from nine furlongs. If taking to the trip, he should be respected in this contest. ZAMZARA is a 3yr old filly who takes a big step up in distance from her last outing over a mile. She was making good late progress that day and could be looking for this greater test of stamina.

Race 6
CITY SMART has solid form over a mile and there is nothing to suggest that he will have a problem staying the extra journey. If that is indeed the case, he should be right up there in the mix. TORRENS was not disgraced last time out over 2100M and should make his presence felt in this race. MITTA MARY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won her last start over a mile and should give the males a good run for their money here. GROUP THINK ran on strongly last time out over the mile which would indicate that he will be completely at home over the extra ground on offer today.

Race 7
GREEN JACKET won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs in comfortable fashion. He has a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the closing stages of the race. MUSICMAKER is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She followed up her 3.3L victory over the c&d with an encouraging next effort over the same trip. She should not be discounted here. CHARMACYS finished well to show the expected improvement second time out when winning over six furlongs. She clearly has some ability and may be able to complete the double here. FLYING EDDIE is seldom too far off the action and a repeat of his penultimate effort over this trip would make him a runner in this line-up.

Race 8
ZOUCARA only failed by a neck to secure victory in her last outing over six furlongs. She is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has a handy four gate and will ensure that the males know that they have been in a race. ALPENDURADA has consistent formlines to his credit, winning his last outing over 1300M and will have no issue with the slightly extra distance here. TREASURE GALLERY is a 6yr old mare who was bumped and then shifted around in the latter stages of her last outing over 1300M. Under the circumstances, she did well to finish where she did and deserves another chance today. THE BLACK TIDE is a 4yr old filly who finished third last time out over 1300M. She likes to race up with the speed, so her pole position is a real advantage.
