KILLIN gave a solid account of himself last time out, when having his second run after a break. The son of Snitzel has finished 2nd on four occasions out of his five starts so far and with the expected scope for improvement, he should get it right this time. APRIL STORM is a 3-year old Choisir filly having her debut on the back of two very encouraging trials recently. If reproducing those two efforts here, she should be one of the leading contenders. SPIRIT WORLD is another 3-year old filly having her debut. She too has impressed in her recent trials and the daughter of Ocean Park must be considered. AVION FURY should enjoy this return to the 1200m having finished 2nd in his only attempt over the trip. The son of More Than Ready will still have scope for improvement and must be included.
Race 1 – 04:34 – 1200m – 3-Year Old Maiden Plate

Race 2 – 05:09 – 1100m – Maiden Plate
EXCELLENCY went well enough on debut, when just tiring late over the 1100m. He will relish the extra here and the son of Manhattan Rain should have plenty of room for improvement. He’ll be worth following in a relatively open field. MIDLAND is a 2-year old son of Brazen Beau having his debut here. He has won two out of his four trials leading up to this and didn’t miss by far in the other two. With those credentials he could be anything and it may be best to follow the betting, but he is certainly one to consider. KYANITE went close last time out when dropping back to the 1000m. That was his first run after a spell away form the course and he looks a major threat if building on that effort.

Race 3 – 05:44 – 1900m – Maiden Plate
LANU MOANA has been knocking on the door in all of his four starts so far and he is in fact yet to miss the first three places. The son of Ocean Park chased well to finish 2nd last time out and he looks set for a big performance over the extra ground now. He lands a plum draw and looks the one to beat. SOUL PURPOSE looks to be the best of the rest. She is a 3-year old filly having her 4th start here and on her last two starts she is clearly looking for this trip. Drawn well, Tom Sherry retains, and she looks the biggest threat to the top one. LIAM’S THE BOSS was strongly fancied last time out and ended up faltering to a 4,10-length defeat. That run was on the back of an outing in Grade 2 company and on his best form to date, he could fight out the minor placings.

Race 4 – 06:19 – 1900m – Class 2 Handicap
ELABORATE has been knocking on the door in his last five starts and he looks set for a big performance now, after that promising effort when stepping up to the 1850m last time out. He finished 2nd in his only attempt over this trip and in this class, he has the credentials to fight this out. RENT A ROCK won last time out in Class 3 company over 1650m and he now tries this trip for the first time. The son of Fiorente has only had 9 starts so far and he should still have more to come. ADONIS VICTORIOUS went close to winning last time out over the mile and the 5-year old son of So You Think will be looking to convert his good recent form into a win in this run or the next. He lands a plum draw and must be considered.

Race 5 – 06:54 – 1100m – BM64 Handicap
VAN GIZ is not too far off finding the winners enclosure on her current form. The 1200m last time out may have been a touch too far and she is going to relish dropping back to the 1100m, where she went very close to winning in her penultimate start. A repeat of that effort should get the job done this time. EAST ASIA won on debut over this trip and daughter of Swiss Ace will have plenty of scope to improve on that, on her handicap debut. BOLLYWOOD and MAISAA both have useful form to their names and must be considered for the minor placings.

Race 6 – 07:29 – 1100m – BM64 Handicap
TEXAS FOREVER showed up well in his recent trial and he will be looking to convert that into a win on his comeback to racing after a short rest. He is a winner over this course and distance and has won first up on both previous occasions when returning from a break. Christian Reith regains the ride and they should be worth following. LITTLE AL is another contender returning to racing after rest and he too arrives on the back of a useful trial recently. The rest would’ve freshened him up nicely and if finding the form he had towards the end of last here, he will be a major threat here. NOSEY has been in good recent form over this trip in his last three starts and the son of Eavesdropper will be looking to convert that into a win here. He might be drawn on the wrong side, but he has the credentials to feature in the finish and cannot be discounted.

Race 7 – 08:04 – 1600m – BM64 Handicap
STARLA has been competing in slightly stronger company of late and she now drops back into a class where she should be ultra-competitive. She was a bit modest over the mile last time out, but she has won and finished 2nd from her three attempts over the trip and the daughter of Snitzel should be good enough to beat this field. EMANUELLA is a 3-time winner from her 4 attempts over this trip and after a solid trial recently, she will be mounting a big challenge in the closing stages. SAVVY VALENTINO gave a useful account of himself when returning last time out. He will strip a lot fitter and has plenty of scope for improvement here. He will enjoy the extra 200m this time and having won 2nd up before, rates a major threat.
